Guy has grown to pretty much be my favorite musician because of the insane amount of things the man knows how to do. And the insane amount of talent he has. Nothing can compare to a live Guy Forsyth show because you never know what he will do next. Due to the fact that he acts in plays (and also in the movie Waking Life), his ability to bring the drama to his musical presence makes him completely unique. A master of the guitar, harmonica, singing saw, he has a full arsenal of intruments at his disposal. However, his best instrument is his limitless voice......a voice so strong that a microphone is not really needed. I had the chance to interview him for the magazine I write for, and his genuine attitude and personality confirmed to me that his music comes from a very real place. His recorded works have consistently improved, and his newest cd "Voices Inside" show's that he's in his prime- a prime that most never reach. If you're ever in Austin and only have time to see one show, make it Guy. That's what I would do.
